A couple of years ago, China shipped to us Wheat Gluten laced with Melamine which killed many of our pets in their food. What would you do about it?
Thankfully, I escaped China's Wrath on that issue. My pets have been and continue to be on a "my food" diet. The Wheat Gluten in question could have entered the human food stocks just as easily as it entered the pet food stocks. What I would have done was suspend trade with China until the perpetrator's were prosecuted. Afterwards, all Chinese Shipments will be held for inspection and not allowed in until the loads were ruled safe. Unsafe loads would be returned to China. I would also raise the tariffs on Chinese Goods to reflect the cost of inspection and enforcement of our law.
Would you work to ensure that our only wars are declared properly by the legislative branch of government?
The last time Congress declared war was WWII. Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq were authorised use of force by Congress. I believe Congress and the President are culpable in the initiation of hostilities because neither side properly declared War on the Nations involved. There are only a few I hear dissenting, like Duncan Hunter and, of course, Dr. Ron Paul.
Do you support repealing the Sixteenth Amendment and removing the Income Tax?
Ron Paul has put forward a plan to repeal the 16th Amendment and eliminate the Income Tax. He would do very well if that were possible. The system we have now is not only confiscatory, but it is also illegal. The 16th Amendment simply states: "The Federal Government shall have the authority to lay and hold taxes upon the States, no matter what the source." I do not see anywhere in the that statement which gives the Government the authority to lay taxes upon the People. I would like to see Dr. Paul's plan work, however I will settle, for now, for the enforcement of the 16th Amendment upon the Federal Government and see them only tax the States.
Do you support withdrawing from the UN and NAFTA?
In the current light, Yes. If I knew then what I know now, I would never have supported the Free Trade Agreement. It was a total sale of our rights for a promise not fulfilled. The UN, if it remains an association can be helpful in the furtherance of peace, but if it is allowed to become a government to itself, that is wrong. The Nations of the World do need to have a place where their grievances are heard, but if it shall be at the expense of the People, that is blatantly absurd. I do, however, support free trade with Canada. Mexico is rife with corruption and should not be allowed to enter into free trade until they effect the changes within their Government to Restore Mexicans' Unalienable Rights.
There are many problems regarding the Veterans Administration. What will you do about it?
I am keenly aware of many problems with the Veterans Administration. These problems range from budget cuts to the Veterans' Pensions, to their health care, to the quality of the facilities. If elected, I shall form a Citizen Action Group within Kentucky as a mode for the complaints. I shall then take those complaints to Washington, DC and sponsor and support legislation which addresses the issues for the good of All Veterans of America, and especially Kentucky.
What is your position on Eminent Domain?
Private Property Rights are very important to me. I believe a man's land is his heritage. It is that land that should pass from generation to generation. Although there occasionally comes a need for the Government to have a piece of land, say for a road, then there should be a profit for the landowner. The Government should offer market price or above market price for the land. I understand there is motive to get land cheap, but the government should not be in the business of making anyone homeless, or robbing the People. In no way should there be Eminent Domain over a for profit endeavor, such as a toll road, or a Wal-Mart.
Mitch McConnell has been unsuccessful in bringing Public Works Projects to Kentucky. What do you intend to do?
When it comes to Kentucky Roads, I will be in the forefront to make sure the Federal Government tenders all of Kentucky's Share of Highway Funds. When it comes to other projects, the case will have to be made as to the value and the expense will have to be justified as for the Public Good. Unlike Mr. McConnell, I would not be in favor for such pork projects as building a theater in which charges for admittance, nor a museum which charges admission. A Museum may be of good public value, but for me to put Federal Money to it. it would have to be free admittance. You might keep in mind, the more pork in the budget, the higher the taxes. I want to keep taxes as low as possible.
I see, on your website, you have a Tennessee PO Box. Where do you live, and why is the PO Box in Jellico, TN?
Firstly, I live in South Whitley County. My land begins about 800 feet north of the State Line, and the Cumberland River. My house is not on the mail route, so I need to have a Post Office Box. The most convenient place for me to place the PO Box is in Jellico, TN which is 5 miles away from my house. Seeing as it is 20 miles to the Williamsburg, KY Post Office, and 10 miles from Emlyn, KY, you can see how this is more convenient for me.
Do you support the "Fairness Doctrine?"
How the "Fairness Doctrine" has been applied in the past, has been to silence certain people from the airwaves. There are already plenty of restrictions upon Free Speech upon America's Media. There is also a Liberal Bias to Mass Media. Those who want to bring in the "Fairness Doctrine" want nothing more than to silence those opinions which they don't agree with.
We need More Speech, not less. That is the only way we can form informed opinions upon the issues.
The Presidential Candidates have declared who they honor. Who do you honor, and why?
I would be happy to explain who I hold in honor, and why. However, I could write books about the why, so I will put that into my blog. Here is the list:
Jehovah, aka Yahweh, aka The Holy One, aka The Creator, aka Divine Providence, aka God, Jeshua ha Nazret, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Abraham Lincoln, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Ronald Reagan, John Essek, and the late Gay Essek.
These are who I hold highest in honor, in order of birth. The only one left alive who still has influence on me is my Father, Messiah and God.
The Office of Homeland Security is rolling out the "Real ID" program. What is your response?
There are several problems I see with the "Real ID Act." First of all, it purports to be a way to protect us from International Terrorism. In reality it does not. It only makes it easier for a terrorist to operate, unchecked within the Union. While Homeland Security is busy tracking the American Citizen, the Terrorists are free to roam within the Union at will. Is this really a way to protect Americans? With 26 million Illegal Aliens already in this country, roaming unchecked, which of them are the Terrorists? How can we tell? My highest respect goes to Local Law Enforcement Personnel who are truly the ones keeping us safe from Terrorism.

What is your stance on "Net Neutrality?"
This is a very important issue to me. Keeping our First Amendment Right is of one of my top priorities. I have been, and continue to, work at the preservation of the Internet to be the "Free Marketplace for the Exchange of Ideas and Information." I am against all efforts to censor the Internet in any way. There are programs out there which filter any type of unwanted content you want, be it pornography, or opposing political views.
The Government needs to be more forthcoming with information and use the Internet to put forth their information. They have no right to tell others what information they can or cannot get.
The beginning of propaganda is the taking control of the media. Already, the Government has taken control of the Television and Radio media to some extent, and the Newspapers are spreading propaganda on a daily basis. The Marketplace has already addressed this issue and have come up with solutions to accommodate personal mores. The Government need not debate this issue.
Recently, Congress debated the Alternate Minimum Tax. What is your stand on this issue?
The AMT is yet another way for the Government to pick the pockets of it's citizenry and to take money away from people. The intent of the program is to charge the Rich so they pay as much as the Poor. The premise is "The Rich People get tax breaks so they have to pay another tax to equal the amount of tax paid by the Poor."
If we truly had a "Fair Tax System" the rules would work the same for all people regardless of their financial standing. The progressive tax system we have now is patently unfair. Corporations get to write off all their expenses, and many Citizens have to choose between taxes and food. A truly fair tax would take an equal proportion of a person's substance. As it is now, the Poor pay nothing and the Rich pay Most.
If a person's success is determined by the Dollar, then those who make more are either more intelligent, have better advise, and/or work harder than those who have less. I believe a Person's success is derived by his Faith in God, his maintaining of relationships, raising honorable children, and supporting his community. The Dollar is only a tool to provide these things.
Why are you opposed to Government Health Care? What about Medicaid and Medicare?
Government has created a problem with Health Care Cost Shifting. When the Medicaid/Medicare system was developed, we had plenty of people to tax and spend the money on the care of indigents and elderly. Now that more people are retiring and no one is replacing the tax base, we can no longer afford to tax and spend the Citizenry into oblivion.
The programs are broke. The accounts are empty. There is a Health Care Crisis of the Government's making.
What I propose is to require the Hospitals, Doctor's Offices, and other Health Care Facilities and Personnel is to charge EQUALLY between the Medicaid/Medicare, Private Insurance, and Cash Payments. We have states in which mandate Auto Insurance, and they have what is called the Risk Pool. We can do something like this for the Health Care as well. Also, the Facilities would receive tax breaks for caring for the indigent, and private charities should be able to take some of the slack.
Why are you opposed to the SCHIP Program? Don't you care about the children?
My opposition to the SCHIP Program is not about the children. It is about the corruption contained with the Program itself. My niece, who's mother is a single mother, making less than $10,000 per year is ineligible for the program while many children who are covered, by Congress' admission, are making over $100,000 per year. It is another shining example of how our Government takes care of it's Citizens. And, while I am there, the SCHIP Program does cover ILLEGAL ALIENS.
I am opposed to Government Health Care. If it were for the children, the Government would be giving the money to private charities which service children, with impeccable records. It would guarantee the privacy of the people who utilize the program. The SCHIP Program is only a program which monitors the People and seeks to control the Populous through the rationing of health care. The records of all those involved in the program can be retrieved from the Government by a filing of Freedom of Information papers.
What about the poor? mentally challenged? Have you forgotten them?
I have not forgotten about those in need, or challenged by disability. We need to keep the laws regarding the disabled in place. My Wife is disabled. With proper consideration, and dignity, they can be assets to Society. We need to make this our goal. To allow all those with disability to live long, productive lives. This means the Private Sector needs to provide jobs for these people, which they can do, so they are not dependant upon the Government Dole.
The poor need to get help from charities, churches, and human resource agencies to get the skills and help they need to become more productive. Although the current Welfare System saw us through the 1930s and the 1970s, there should not be a need for the system in the days of prosperity. It is not the Federal Government's Responsibility to give the people a hand out. But, for a hand up, it can be carried out more efficiently and effectively by the States and the Private Sector.
What is your stand about the "Fair Tax?"
The "Fair Tax," as proposed has many problems with it. Firstly, it contains an entitlement provision which would apply to some, and not to others.
I agree the Current Tax System is desperately in need of reform, and previous attempts to cure the problem has dramatically compounded the problems.
There has to be a better way for the Federal Government to be funded than by robbing their citizens at a point of a gun. There needs to be a voluntary, or a user based system to fund the Government. Historically, tariffs were levied against foreign companies to trade in the United States and that is where the Federal Government got it's money from.
I am open to discussing this issue with anyone who has intelligent input to make a better system.
You keep talking about Fiscal Responsibility. What exactly is that?
Fiscal Responsibility is a doctrine which Congress badly needs to adopt. Simply put is is being Responsible to the People for the Money Spent. In today's legislation, both houses of Congress are being Fiscally Irresponsible.
If I am elected, I will seek a balanced budget amendment which puts at least 10% of the budget toward paying off the National Debt. I will not vote for a deficit budget.
The only time this Nation needs to go into debt would be in a time of a shooting war. The nation building going on in Iraq does not qualify as a shooting war. It is a mop up operation. The War was won when Mr. Bush declared Victory in Iraq.
What is your position on the recent Omnibus Budget?
The Omnibus budget funding the United States Government for 2008 is full of pork and has over 13,000 earmarks relating to the pet projects of the Politicians.
This bill does defund the illegal Mexican Truck Pilot Program, however, it also defunds the Border Fence as well. Are the Politicians in Washington suffering from Schizophrenia? How can they make us safer with one earmark and then put us in more danger on the other?
Many States are considering Toll Roads for closing their funding gap. What do you think of this?
If you take a look at the states currently wanting to toll their roads have diverted a major portion of their Road Funds to projects like statuary, bike trails, and mass transportation. They have spent their money foolishly on projects other than their roads. What I propose is to make such diversion a felony, punishable by a mandatory 10 years in the Federal Prison, for making such diversion, without exception.
Once elected, I shall propose a law which decertifies any Interstate Highway which contains even a single toll. This law would deny any funds upon that highway to be paid for that state. For example, New Jersey would lose their certification and funding for I-95 because it follows the New Jersey Turnpike. New York would lose I-95 because of the George Washington Bridge and I-90 because of the New York Thruway. These roads would revert to the Toll Road and be funded without any Federal Funds.
I hear some people calling you a bigot for opposing immigration. What is your real stand?
I support Legal Immigration. We do not go to some one's house and climb through a window, do we? We knock on the door and wait to be admitted.
This is what the Border Process is for. We have a right to know who, and why people are coming over the Border. Illegal Immigration is the act of people en masse burglarizing the Union, and Invasion.
Illegal Immigration must be stopped. All are welcome in this country, please come in Legally.
How do you feel about the Separation of Church and State?
The restriction in the Constitution prohibits the State interfering in the affairs, or workings of the Church. Anyone can open a church and worship anything he likes. If others join him, then he is running a church. The Government must not interfere with this fundamental right.
In the alternative, the People bring what they worship (God) into work with them. How then can you keep the Church from Government? Simple. Do not create a National Church.
I also believe People of Faith have an obligation to debate the Affairs of State within the Church Walls. In the words of Edmund Burke, "All that is necessary for evil to win in the world is for good men to do nothing."
What is your position on Citizens being Armed?
My position on the Right of the People to Bear Arms is contained within the US Constitution, 2nd amendment as well as the Kentucky Constitution in the 7th amendment.
The people shall have the right to carry, and bear arms, in the interest of self-preservation and the protection of others. The People shall also have the right to Defend the Great State of Kentucky and The United States of America.
Is it time for a Constitutional Convention?
If we were to open up the Constitution with the current cast of characters in Washington, we would surely lose the Union. We must enforce all our laws in keeping with the US Constitution. The Declaration of Independence spells out and affirms our rights and the Constitution codifies them. The United States Code needs to be examined and cleaned up so all our laws conform to our Constitution.
